The Bird That Never Flew….
|  15 years it has been, Darkness is all it’s seen. No one can answer for his pain, Silence now reigns where he cried in vain. Locked up for years it has been kept, Not a single tear it ever wept. They gave all the joys to quench his thirst, Freedom was it, he demanded from first. Darkness was it he saw day and night, No one could show him the way. To burn the cage, he thought was right, He couldn’t see any end to this fight. Alas, the little bird didn’t know, The fire burnt the wings too. Never could he see the skies blue, The bird never in his life flew. | |
